We had a confirmed reservation for one night in a room with two queen beds, but they gave it away and said we’d booked one king bed instead. I’m giving them three stars because they did have another room available. Still, that wasn’t right.

As an IHG Gold Elite member, I expect decent hospitality, and Valentino Missimo made me feel completely unwelcome. His dismissive, unhelpful manner was nothing like the service I’m used to. I saw him flirting and getting physical with a customer outside who was smoking and relaxing while the reception desk sat unattended. Management should look into replacing him with someone more hospitable. A really poor reflection on the brand. SUCH A SHAME.

The staff at this location need better people skills. Since it allows pets, it should have designated floors or rooms for pet travelers and other areas for guests with allergies or asthma. I walked around in black socks and picked up a lot of pet hair, along with dust and bits of paper roll. The pillow shams smelled like they hadn’t been changed, and the room didn’t look well cleaned. There’s no carpet, so bring slippers or nonslip socks. After two nights the room still hadn’t been serviced, and I had to ask the front desk for supplies. The room also had no microwave or closet, so clothes had to hang on the walls and made things look messy. The fridge was tiny, not great if you’re keeping things for a couple nights. When the glass door of the walk-in shower was open, water got onto the floor. There was even an empty water bottle propping up the TV so it wouldn’t tilt. First and last time I’m spending money at a hotel like this.

I arrived at 10 PM and left at 6 AM without sleeping at all. The heavy doors seemed to close softly at first, then slammed hard at the end, louder than any door I can remember. Between that noise and the dirt, this was a miserable night. The mirrors had obvious grime and smears, and stained marks covered the benches and chair. I put my things on the furniture despite the stains, but it looked like it needed a proper steam cleaning. If they left the mirrors that dirty, I had little confidence they’d clean the chairs properly either. The food choices nearby were mostly fast food, and I’d keep driving to another town if I could. I suspect the other local hotels may be just as shabby. The review choices call this place things like quiet and luxurious, which don’t describe it at all. Listen to that door slam every time someone opens one, and good luck getting any rest.

We’d stay here again when passing through. It’s close to restaurants and gas stations, and has a nice pool and grill area plus a fitness center. The property is a combination with Candlewood Suites and only opened in Feb 2026. We liked the small room, which felt cozy and simple for an overnight visit. The lobby is spacious, nicely furnished, and has several places to sit. At breakfast, three TVs had Disney, NBC, and a local station on. The scrambled eggs, turkey sausage, and potatoes were well prepared, with yogurts, cereal, bakery treats, drinks, and oatmeal available too. It was a little tricky to find, but worth it.
