Red Roof Inn West Monroe

The room itself looked clean and smelled clean when I checked it, but the activity outside put me off. There were people hanging around all over, and the air was full of weed. It was Monday night, too. I knew better as a grown woman, but my mom had insisted the Red Roof she stayed at in Palm Desert was nice. I handed the key back and got a refund.

There was no breakfast, even though it was advertised, and the stay wasn't worth what it cost. We had several bags to get up to the third floor, but the elevator didn't work. The first room had roaches, so we switched. In the next one, there was someone else's hair on the sheets. If I'd known what the motel was like, I wouldn't have booked it.

I had to move rooms because the first one was nasty, with a broken fridge, TV, and phone. The fridge and TV worked in the second room, but its phone was broken too. Then I found leftover pee in the bathroom, and the toilet wasn't flushing right. Never staying here again. 01/19/2026

I usually stay at a Red Roof Inn, but this was a stripped down, sketchy version, and I won't go back. The front desk woman treated me horribly and was so mean about charging me $20 to check in at 1:40, even though the place wasn't busy. I called at 10:45 to ask if I could check out at 11:15. She said no because I hadn't called sooner. I was only asking for 15 minutes.
