Villa 15 had a back door right by the pool and a great ocean view. We had plenty of space for everyone with two bedrooms, a king bed, two queens, and a pull-out couch. The kitchen was well stocked with lots of useful things. The location worked really well for our family: right on the beach, but away from the busiest parts of the strip when we wanted some quiet, and close enough to join the action when we felt like it. The decor and furniture could use an upgrade, but that didn’t bother us. We’ll be back next summer.

The gulf view and beach access were amazing, and the location put us near the places we wanted to visit for a fraction of the cost. Our room was clean when we arrived, and the staff were really great and easy to communicate with. For the price, the view made the stay worthwhile, though the beds were a hard no for me. I probably wouldn’t return unless they were much better. The shower pressure was low, which I always notice when I travel, and one shower had a wonky valve with only three settings: hot, off, and scalding hot. Luckily our villa had a second shower, which worked, though the pressure was still low. I couldn’t figure out the TVs, and they and the furniture felt quite outdated. You can see the property has had some efforts to clean up and update a bit. We skipped the unheated pool because it was too cold, and the hot tub was broken.

The front desk and cleaning staff were warm, welcoming, and great with kids. Our villa was clean and didn’t smell of smoke, and after checking every kitchen drawer and shelf, I didn’t find any sign of roaches. It had useful kitchen basics like pans, knives, utensils, mugs, plates, cutting boards, and a coffee pot, though I don’t know whether every unit is stocked the same way. There are sand toys for guests, plus a BBQ pit with tools and outdoor picnic tables. A washer and dryer are available in the laundry room, and they take quarters. Local attractions were about 15 to 20 minutes away. Locals suggested rinsing off as much sand as possible at the wash station by the beach to help avoid plumbing problems. We came in from the beach around 6 p.m., and apparently the kids were too loud. Someone downstairs started banging on their ceiling with a stick. I asked the children to quiet down a bit and left it there. If you’re traveling with kids, I’d suggest asking for a downstairs villa to avoid issues with guests who have a low tolerance for noise. Hope this helps. Enjoy your stay!

We had a very easy check-in, just entering a code at our unit door, and the staff kept in touch by email. Villa 17’s furnishings were dated, but the beds were comfortable, everything was clean, and the kitchen was nice. From the deck, the view over the Gulf’s sugar-white sand was hard to beat. There’s a pool just steps away, along with a jacuzzi and charcoal grills stocked with charcoal and lighter fluid, which was really convenient. The west end is quieter, with less traffic and light pollution, though it’s still a short drive to things to do on the beach. I’d definitely stay again.

The floor really needed mopping. I walked barefoot once and the bottoms of my feet felt sticky and turned black. Some blankets would be nice too, since some people do get cold even in Florida. Otherwise, the location, service, rooms, and amenities were great. It’s pet friendly as well.
