The location deserves 5 stars, but everything else gets 2. The room itself was cute and modern, though it had no tissues or headboard, so you sleep right against the wall. I don’t know why they provide dish soap and dishwasher soap but not more full-size towels. They also require you to take all the trash to the dumpster before leaving. Getting settled was a hassle. The reservation was difficult to make, and calling it a “hotel” is misleading; it’s more like an Airbnb, with lower service than I expected. Directions were unclear, and finding the room in the complex felt like searching for a needle in a haystack. Give yourself 30 minutes. Check-in is at 4:00pm, and you can’t get to the beach until then because you need the used wristbands inside your room. After that, you have to call a shuttle or find the beach on foot. It was hard to locate, and we drove around trying to figure out what “sunset beach community” meant. A beach address would have let us go straight there on arrival. Instructions weren’t clear enough to understand the setup ahead of time, and every minute counts on vacation. Great location, though, and I hope this helps people decide whether to book.

The location is hard to beat, but there wasn’t anything special about the room beyond that. Our AC died when we arrived, which brought our stay with the villages to an early, unhappy end. The leaky AC, bright advertising lights shining into our room at night, and construction workers next door kept me from catching up on sleep. These problems were specific to our visit, and the management team did their best to repair the AC and eventually refunded us. It’s a fine enough place in a great location, just an okay room. Don’t let my bad review put you off.

The location was exactly what I wanted, close to the beach and within walking distance of shops and restaurants. My room was small, but I didn’t come to Rosemary Beach to spend time inside. The cool AC and king-size bed made for a good night’s sleep.

The unit was comfortable, with cozy beds and a couch, and I loved sitting on the balcony to read, get some fresh air, or watch people go by. It’s a great location, a block from the beach with a free tram for the rest of the way if you want it. Pools around the complex are available, and there are several shops and restaurants within easy walking distance. I’d recommend a unit above the ground floor. Finding the rental was tough at first because the complex is so large. The address doesn’t include the building letter, and I wish the Vacasa app had clearer directions to the specific unit. The place was a little dusty when we arrived, and some cups were visibly dirty because the dishwasher hadn’t been run properly. I also got conflicting answers from the rental company staff about basic things. They said the tram came every half hour, but the operators told me you have to call for pickup. That kind of miscommunication happened a couple of times. They either didn’t know or gave me the wrong information.
