Horizon Inn and Suites

The place didn't feel cozy or welcoming, and it was overpriced for what felt like sleeping in a renovated old school. The room was dirty and smelled of animals and cigarettes. Breakfast is continental, but if you want to eat it in your room, they charge an extra cleaning fee. That's ridiculous. There are extra fees for everything. I'd stay somewhere else down the road.

It was a reasonably nice, clean hotel, but there's no elevator. That makes getting around hard for anyone who has trouble with stairs.

I slept comfortably, and the bathroom was a decent size and reasonably clean. There were four towels and washcloths in our rooms, more than the three we usually get elsewhere. A few strands of hair and some dust were visible along the floor edges, though they seemed to have been missed. For work trips, I think this is one of the better hotels we've stayed at. We could ask the desk for another towel, but we usually don't get to the room until 9 or 10 p.m., and nobody feels like doing that then.

The room was huge, the biggest I've ever stayed in, and I hadn't realized my wedding reservation came with a jacuzzi. I really enjoyed it. The bed was super comfortable, breakfast was great, and it was excellent value for the price.
