Our group had a mixed stay. The staff were friendly and tried to help, and some rooms had fresh renovations and were clean and perfectly fine. The inside looked better than the outside, but room quality varied a lot. In some, beds hadn't been made, there was hair on the sheets, or belongings from previous guests were still around, including a used comb full of hair on a desk. We also ran into doors that weren't fitted right and bathroom outlets that wouldn't take a hair dryer. The hotel advertises a hot breakfast, but didn't seem set up to serve one. Our group got a limited amount of food, including coffee boxes brought over from the nearby Dunkin, and it was first come, first served. Staff mentioned breakfast may change soon. Room keys were also in short supply, even though the hotel had known our group size for weeks, which could be an issue for other large parties. There are no elevators, so stairs with luggage could be difficult, especially for anyone with mobility needs. And although it's advertised as non-smoking, several rooms reportedly smelled of cigarettes or marijuana. In the morning, one guest was smoking in the hall across from a room in our group. It's an adequate place to sleep, and the renovated furniture was decent, but the smaller details were too inconsistent to make the stay feel put together.

The staff made the biggest impression on us. The front desk people were genuinely kind and courteous, and the housekeeper clearly takes pride in keeping things right. I'm pretty picky about hotel cleanliness, and this was one of the cleanest rooms I've stayed in. Baldwin Inn and Suites isn't much to look at from the road, but it was well lit at night and close enough to walk to the Big E. We really enjoyed our stay. If you're on the fence about booking, I'd go for it. The value and experience were worth it.

The people working there were friendly and helpful, and the rooms looked recently renovated. Still, the condition depended on which room you got. Some were fine, while others had a strong smoke smell, and belongings from earlier guests had been left where housekeeping should have caught them. If you're after more than somewhere to sleep, I'd look elsewhere.

The staff were super nice and accommodating when I got hurt, and the location was great. The rooms are updated, but breakfast was pretty lacking for a Best Western, and there aren't ADA accommodations. My daughter has cerebral palsy, and I've never stayed at a hotel without an elevator. With my next 12 weeks of medical bills and missed work, the price feels different now, though without the accident I probably wouldn't have had many issues with the hotel itself. I broke my ankle and foot in the room while sitting on a rolling office chair. On the hard floor it slipped as I stood up, and the chair and my bodyweight crushed my ankle and foot. I also hit my head. I spent the next 9 hours at urgent care and Bay Health State Hospital, the worst hospital I've ever been to. Don't go there. For context, I work at a hospital. The chair is very slippery on a hard surface. A carpet would help with safety, and breakfast needs more options. I also left my favorite pillow behind. It may not have looked like much, but I have a neck injury and miss it. Thanks for the memories, and for my first broken bones. 😔🤣 Staff were really kind. ❤️👌

I was unsure about booking because most of the reviews seemed to be from before Best Western bought the hotel or while it was being renovated, so I wanted to share my experience. I stayed in October 2025, after the renovations were done, and arrived around midnight. The area felt safe to me. It's a little industrial, but there are homes nearby, and the front desk was staffed and kind when I checked in. The room was beautiful and clearly had a lot of work put into it. There were outlets everywhere, including enough beside the bed to plug in five devices. The bathroom was nicely finished and felt luxurious, especially the mirror with different lighting settings for makeup. The continental breakfast went beyond what I expected, with warm breakfast sandwiches and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches as well as fruit, cereal, breakfast bars, oatmeal, muffins, yogurt, milk, and juice. I didn't take a photo of the coffee and tea station. I wasn't visiting the Big E, but its gate is literally across the street, so the location would be golden for that.
