Comfort Inn & Suites West Springfield

The kitchen and housekeeping staff were the nicest people there. At check-in, though, the woman with the pop bottle glasses and one crazy eye was miserable, and she should be fired. I recommend replacing the whole staff. The place was disgusting. The air filter in the AC needs cleaning because it felt like I was breathing in 80 year old mold, and the ceilings were falling in the room. They charged me 331.00 when I was only supposed to pay 326.00. The woman with the Coke bottles was trying to fight, and I was tired.

We picked this hotel for a 4-5 day family break, mainly because of the indoor pool, but the stay was VERY DISAPPOINTING. Some of the front desk people were unfriendly, though two were sweethearts. The first room smelled like a basement, so we bought a spray. It was VEEEERY disappointing and reminded me of a motel, but we tried to make the best of it. After unpacking, I went to the car with the Mr. When I got back, the door opened when I leaned against it without using a key. We checked it and found it was broken and wouldn't lock. The front desk had no problem giving us another room, so we packed everything and moved. The second room wasn't appealing either. The fireplace didn't work, and the WiFi kept saying that if I was the owner I needed to reconfigure settings to connect. The kids couldn't use their laptop or gaming system. Housekeeping cleaned our level but skipped our room. Nobody came to knock and ask if we needed anything or wanted cleaning, unlike at all the places we've stayed before. The pool was the main reason we booked, and with the changing weather an indoor pool sounded great. But there was so much floating on the surface: hair, a clothing sticker, other things, and what looked like a giant Lougee. It was nasty and needed a net and a proper cleaning. I asked the front desk for a net, and he said guests couldn't clean the pool. I asked if maintenance could come, but he said they'd left for the day and wouldn't return until morning. It was only 3 pm. He said there was nothing he could do, so we couldn't enjoy the pool. If it's open 7am-10pm, it needs cleaning, or there should at least be a net. Whoever cleans it needs to do a way better job. It felt like there was no maintenance if something went wrong. Breakfast was alright. The hot options were egg and cheese omelet and sausage, along with three kinds of cereal, three juices, bagels, and cream cheese. The people we saw coming and going looked like junkies. I posted videos of the kitchen cabinets and pictures showing how dirty they were, including one side I cleaned myself. The buildup was disgusting, and it didn't look like the place was being cleaned properly. For the same price, I'd rent the hotel I stayed at before this one, where everything was 100% times better. This is a NO GO. I will never return.

The hotel is in a good area, but the rooms and the rest of the property weren't clean. Our sheets had marks all over them, and there were dead bugs in the room. We complained and were moved, but the new room had the same problems. The rooms looked as if they hadn't been cleaned or the sheets changed. We left early after seeing bugs crawling around. I'm sharing what happened in the hope the hotel will fix the problems.

We chose the hotel for the grandkids because it had a pool, and that was about the only good thing. The rooms were worn out and dirty. There was grease or something all over the cabinets, stains on the sofa, and old-looking sheets with holes and stains. People smoked weed by the side entrance, filling the whole hallway with the smell, and that door didn't lock at all. The front desk clerk wasn't very welcoming and gave us some attitude when we called. It wasn't the worst service, but it wasn't good either. The shower in the pool area was broken, and there was sludge on top of the hot tub water. The place needs revamping and better staff training.
