The breakfast was amazing, and this ended up being one of my favorite stops on our trip. The rooms are spacious with a great view, and the saloon across the street is worth enjoying for its beer, food, and scenery. We even spotted a river otter. There was a musty smell when we first entered the room, but it faded after about five minutes, so it wasn’t a big issue for us. I’d give it 10 stars if I could.

The lake and distant snowy mountains are the standout here. The rooms feel welcoming, though they aren't fancy, and have the basic things you need. Breakfast includes protein like bacon, sausage, milk, and yogurt, along with cookies, biscuits, and other sweet options. A budget-friendly stay near the Yellowstone area, with good service and a lovely view.

We spent five days here with our kids for a Yellowstone family trip, and the quiet spot by the lake was a welcome break from the crowds. It’s not far from YNP, and we’d recommend staying here. Check-in was quick, and the owner was kind and helpful. Our clean, comfortable room had two queen beds in a separate room, plus a futon that opened into a comfortable bed. Having a kitchen was handy when we didn’t want to eat out. Breakfast started at 6:30 a.m., which helped us get an early start for the park. There were hot and cold choices, including pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage, cereal, breads, and pastries. I didn’t see an elevator, so ask for a first-floor room if stairs are a problem.

We left after just an hour because we’re allergic to bugs and bug spray. The place looked nothing like the pictures: it was old and dark, with giant moths and other bugs everywhere. The bedroom felt like a windowless storage room, and the kitchen smelled bad and had old appliances. We’d planned to stay three days on a family vacation, but this wasn’t what we expected. I asked for a refund, and they refused, then hung up. I wouldn’t recommend it.

The hotel’s quiet setting is nice for spending time in nature with family or friends, and it’s close to the airport, downtown, and the park entrance. Local shops and restaurants are about 15 minutes away, and there’s a cute little bar across the road. Our room was clean and comfortable, with a kitchen, appliances, and a balcony with a fantastic view. The rooms are spacious, too. Breakfast is included, with bread, boiled eggs, pancakes, cereal, coffee, tea, juice, and fruit. The options were a bit repetitive, though, and I wish there had been more variety.
