Hilton Garden Inn Mount Holly/Westampton

My mom spent over $600 for the hotel, but didn’t use the final night because she no longer felt safe. She lives in Florida and had flown in to help me after surgery. I broke three bones in my ankle and dislocated my foot, and my prescriptions went missing while Mom and I stepped out to get a few things the doctor said I needed. All four unopened prescriptions were gone when we returned. The front desk woman said nobody working there would do that, but my mom is very punctual and organized, and the prescriptions were there before we left. The front desk and housekeeping seem to be in cahoots, and their procedures are terrible. I saw the housekeeper getting off the elevator as we were getting on, and had politely smiled at her that morning. If a housekeeper denies taking something, they say you have to prove it. The housekeeper and front desk lady need to be fired. If my doctor had said I needed those prescriptions or I could die, this could have been a lawsuit. Don’t take things that aren’t yours. Don’t stay at the Hilton hotel on 541.

The front desk agents were friendly and helpful, and I’d definitely stay again. I only gave the room four stars because the toilet sometimes wouldn’t flush unless you lifted the lid and tapped the floater so it could refill. It was random, and the bathroom sink also drained very slowly. I told the front desk agent, not to complain, but so they’d put in a maintenance request. One tiny thing: storing clean towels in the shower isn’t a good idea. I moved them to the counter so they wouldn’t get soaked while I showered. It’s a small issue, but something they could fix.

The shower was very good and the front desk staff were friendly, though one person didn’t follow through on a request. My room’s coffee setup was ridiculously skimpy, like something from a budget motel, and the key cards were frustratingly unreliable. Food at Recovery Sports Grill was just okay. The hotel itself was okay.

We’ve stayed here several times over the past few years to visit family, and it’s consistently been our go-to place. It’s right off the turnpike, with restaurants very close by. The front desk is always friendly and helpful, and the hotel is very clean. Breakfast is great: fresh cut fruit, a good choice of breads and baked goods, and pancakes made fresh. The cook kept enough food available so it stayed warm and fresh. The bar normally closes at 10 pm, but one evening the bartender stayed open longer because there were a lot of guests, which was very nice.
