Quality Inn Westfield - Springfield

The one thing in its favor was being right off the highway and easy to find. We would've left for another hotel, but couldn't get our money back. The room was mediocre and much smaller than the description made it sound. The TV didn't work, and the fridge had so much frost that anything put inside froze. The bed was okay, but the blanket was stained and had hair on it. There were cracks and stains in the tub, which dipped in the middle, and some towels were stained too. Breakfast was standard hotel fare, except the hot plates weren't on, so the eggs and sausage were cold. Thank God there were other options nearby. This is probably the lowest place I've stayed. If zero stars were an option, that's what I'd have chosen.

On arrival, I found an Oreo and multiple candy wrappers on the floor, like they don't care because it's only $100 a night. Breakfast was bad too: the waffle mix was old, the cream cheese was curled, and the muffins were hard enough to break teeth. Baldwin hotel doesn't charge for dogs, service dogs or not, and is way cleaner. They wanted over $600 for my working service dogs, bringing the room total to $1,550 for a week. Under the ADA, I shouldn't have to pay for a dog I need to survive. Poor service at best.

The fixtures were falling apart, the bathroom hadn't been cleaned, and both beds had sheets covered in hair. Easily the dirtiest hotel I've ever experienced. Even $10-a-night rooms in Vietnam look like the Ritz next to this hovel. You couldn't pay me to stay here!

I stayed here a couple of times over the years and it used to be good, but it's gone downhill fast. A few months ago I woke up to no hot water, and it happened again on my latest stay. I felt like an idiot for giving them another chance. When I told the woman at the desk, she said, "yes, yes!" I told her, "No no, that sucks and I'm never coming back again!" I wish I could've left zero stars.
