We won’t be returning. The room was barely clean when we arrived, and it clearly hadn’t been vacuumed in a while. Kitchen utensils were dirty, there was a used towel behind the door and a nail on the floor, and the doors were filthy. The curtains were stained and torn. At 4 AM, wind kept blowing open the broken window, which was miserable in 20-degree weather. My husband woke with a dried Benadryl liquid gel pill stuck to his leg. Neither of us brought or uses Benadryl, so it seemed the sheets hadn’t been changed. While packing, we also found a used insulin pen under the bed that belonged to neither of us. One of the worst hotels I’ve stayed in.

TownPlace is my favorite place to stay around here, and the staff are amazing. Kisha Hoke is my favorite. She’s great at her job and helped me find everything I needed to enjoy my stay and feel comfortable.

Nothing special, just about three-star quality. It’s very old, the entrances and floor plan are confusing, breakfast is basic, there are some smells around, and the noise level wasn’t ideal. The bed was okay. I can see it working for someone on an extended stay, but it won’t suit everyone.

The best thing here was the price. We paid $706 for a three-night stay in a two-bedroom suite, which is hard to find these days, and it was the right size for us. The location is perfect for Cedar Point and activities around the Cleveland area. Staff were nice, though we didn’t deal with them much, and the Sunday, October 5th breakfast attendant was amazing. We had a good stay overall and would come back, as long as you know this is an old-style Townplace Suite and expect some wear. The linens were clean, but the floors were gross, with dirt in the crevices and potato chips in one bedroom. There was mold all over the bathroom ceiling and dead bugs in the light fixtures. Breakfast was mostly good and well stocked, with a packaged hot-well item, the Townplace Suite cracked egg patty, different meats each day, lots of bread choices, cereal, fruit, oatmeal, yogurt, and great packaged muffins. The breakfast space is a tiny grab-and-go area with maybe five two-top tables. For the first two days, people were considerate, and we got food easily before taking it to our room. On the last day, an adult with about eight kids took over the area and made it hard for everyone to get food. The kids waited in front of the food while they wanted to use the one waffle maker, which is understandable. The attendant had to ask them to move so others could get food, something the adult could have handled. If you bring kids, please think of others, have them sit at a table if there’s one available, or take the food upstairs as the place is designed for.
