Best Western Plus Oakbrook Inn

We've stayed here twice and are planning another visit in August. The staff have been welcoming and helpful, and the free breakfast has been better than what I've had at some pricier hotels. There's a Daiso nearby, and the location is closer to Allstate arena than downtown. It's not too far from downtown, either, so the price feels worth it. Looking forward to coming back.

Krishna and Sarah have treated us with respect and helped both current and former guests without judging them. Sarah even took our change so we could get another bottle of water. My partner and I have waited for rides in the breakfast area while charging our phones, quietly, and they haven't had a problem with it. There are cameras there, and we're not causing a disturbance. The owner isn't judgmental either. We love being made to feel comfortable instead of being looked at as if we're criminals, which we're not. Two afternoon and evening workers have made us feel differently. One is an older woman who seems nosy and judgmental. The other is a younger guy who makes up rules and judges people while talking to them. He has no patience and will send people out into the cold. If you're quietly waiting for a ride, he'll tell you not to wait in the breakfast area. The older Chinese woman has done the same. I don't think they need to be fired, but they need to learn empathy and kindness from coworkers like Krishna and Sarah, and understand that customers like us aren't causing trouble. The rooms and the area are fine, and the location is nice, tucked behind everything with its own parking lot. It doesn't feel crowded. The WiFi works great while we're connected on the TV and our phones at the same time. The bathroom is unfortunately small, and I wonder why they made it that way. The housekeepers handle a lot, including cooking breakfast and cleaning rooms, and I hope they're paid very well. The maintenance man they use is quick and efficient at unclogging toilets and showers. Prices have been high lately; I wish they started at $75, though I understand why they're higher than usual. Thanks again, Krishna and Sarah. My partner and I love you. To the Asian woman and the younger tan chubby man, please learn from them and grow as people.

We've found this to be the best place so far compared with most hotels. The rooms are clean, the staff are professional, and the location feels safe. There's lots of parking, with plenty of room for bigger vehicles. Krishna at the front desk has been excellent. He listens to my questions and concerns, has great customer service, and doesn't come across as lazy or as if he has a poor work ethic. He's been especially good to my girlfriend and me.

As a woman traveling alone to visit family, I felt well looked after here. The place felt safe, with great security, and the hallways were quiet at night. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were clean. It had recently been remodeled, including upgraded flooring. Breakfast was wonderful, with sausage, gravy, and a homemade omelette. The shower had both hot and cold water.
