Inn at Longshore

The breakfast was better than we expected, with local coffee, fresh pastries, yogurt and fruit granola parfaits, hard-boiled eggs, juice, bagels and toast with toppings, fruit salad, and other hot drinks. Our view from room 317 was beautiful, the bed was fairly comfortable, and the whole place was clean, quaint, and tastefully decorated. There were thoughtful touches in the room too, including a hairdryer, wine and regular glasses, and a fridge. My main complaint was the unpleasant smell in the hallways and stairwells. It might have been mold or stale cigarette odor, but it was really unpleasant. The room had a faint musty smell too. It’s an old-fashioned place without feeling dated, right on the water and close to town. We stayed overnight to break up our drive to Cape Cod, and we’ll be back. Jake at the front desk was efficient, professional, and welcoming, and the morning desk person was warm too. Great stay, thank you.

After arriving at JFK from an international flight, we needed somewhere to stay before setting off on our road trip. The Inn at Longshore was a lovely place to settle in and have some quiet time. It’s surrounded by a golf course and has spectacular water views. The rooms and location were adorable, and the staff were very helpful. Westport has several food options, including some for vegans and vegetarians. We absolutely loved our stay.

The rooms could use a refresh, but my bed was very comfortable and the bathroom had all the modern conveniences. The staff were very friendly, and the highlight was La Plage, the restaurant with remarkable water views. I also enjoyed seeing the wildlife in the gardens. A great place to stay in Westport if golf or water access for sailing or kayaking is your priority.

Brian made the day feel easy from the start. He was attentive, professional, and clearly had every detail under control, but he was also a lot of fun and had a contagious laugh. A big thank you to him. Our son and daughter-in-law got married at The Inn at Longshore last week, and the venue was beautiful. Guests kept telling us how great the staff were. The food was delicious too, from the appetizers and dinner to dessert and the late-night snacks. It was a perfect day, and I highly recommend the Inn.
