Ocean Avenue Inn

The staff were incredibly kind, accommodating, and helpful, and the cottage's wifi was great. It felt like a home away from home. It's an older place, but very clean and well stocked, with full bathrooms and a full-size kitchen. The beds were comfortable too. We'll be back!

The room didn't look anything like the picture, and we won't stay here again. The beds were broken down, and the sagging curtains didn't cover the windows. The coffee maker didn't work, the stove couldn't get hot enough to boil water, and the bathroom floor was filthy. We reserved for four people but got enough towels for only two. There were ants on the kitchen counter, and the kitchen pans were worn out. The place is very poorly maintained. We plan to leave early because we can't do another night, and I doubt we'll get a refund.

The room is spacious, and my grandsons each had their own twin bed. The staff are very friendly, and when there was no hair dryer in the room, the manager kindly found one and brought it to my sister. There are coffee pots, refrigerators, and microwaves in the rooms. Breakfast isn't included, and from what I could tell, it might be basic cable, but I didn't come to watch TV. It's cozy and friendly, though clearly not a four-star hotel.

The location worked out great, with shops and restaurants close by. My husband and I spent a three-day weekend here in room 8, and it was nicer than I expected. The bed was firm, the linens were clean, and having a kitchenette in the room was a real plus. No complaints, we’d stay again next time we’re in town.
