AmericInn by Wyndham Wetmore Munising

Our sons’ hockey team had a block of rooms for our trip to states last weekend, and the hotel worked out great. Staff accommodated all the team’s requests, and the pool and spa were clean. The rooms suited what we needed. Breakfast was the usual continental spread, with fresh waffles, yogurt, eggs, sausage, OJ, bagels, and cold cereal with milk.

My daughter loved the water slide when we came last year, but I left with bed bug bites and asked for a refund. They gave me nothing. I was thinking of returning this year, then read the reviews and it looks like the bed bug problem may still be there. A major issue.

Breakfast was awesome, and the morning crew seemed great. Adults could use the pool until midnight, though the pool area was pretty dark when I was there, and the slide didn’t open until 6 p.m. Our room’s tub drained so slowly that it needed to be unplugged. There’s room for improvement, but we still had a nice family stay.

The room’s air conditioner and heater filters had been cleaned recently, which I always check and don’t see often, even in nice hotels. The hotel was clean and sits in a great spot for recreation. There’s an indoor pool, waterslide, hot tub, and sauna. I’ll stay here again.
