Amizette Inn and Restaurant

We spent a lovely time out back by the small river, and the breakfast room’s big windows gave us a view of chipmunks, hummingbirds, and mountain jays. There was plenty to choose from at breakfast, and the staff were kind and made sure we had what we needed. Check-in was easy, and the inn is also near Taos ski valley, with its restaurants and shops. We were very happy with our stay.

The price was great, almost half what other places nearby charged. Amizette inn has rustic charm, clean rooms, and a clear mountain stream visible from the common area. Breakfast was superb, with fresh fruit and sausage and eggs made to order. Hummingbirds were everywhere, and the chipmunks kept us amused. The staff were warm, friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable, and we had some great conversations. I’ll recommend this place to everyone.

We arrived late, long after check-in, but the staff were still there smiling and ready to help. We’d booked another local place, only to find they had no record of our reservation. They tried to put things right and called Amizette to find us somewhere to sleep. Amizette told us to come over and said they’d stay up for us. We were disappointed at first, but that quickly turned into excitement. We loved the inn and the people running it. It sits on a mountainside with a lovely little stream behind it. Great views and service. We’ll be back!

I’d booked the wrong date for my ski trip to Toas, but they were still able to check me in that night. Everyone was super accommodating and friendly. Amizette was a great place to stay, and I’d highly recommend it.
