Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham Northbrook Wheeling

We were very pleased with the suite. It was roomy, with a kitchen and a large bathroom, and the hotel allows pets, which matters since we sometimes travel with one. There’s complimentary breakfast, a workout facility, laundry, and more. Executive Airport is nearby, but we hardly noticed aircraft noise.

I stayed for two weeks and was happy I picked this hotel. The suite and kitchenette were very clean, the room comfortable and updated, and it was quiet. Susan and Sharon in management were especially helpful and friendly, and the check-in staff were lovely and easy to reach. Breakfast gets an A from me. There’s laundry in the building and a fitness room, too. Highly recommend.

Great customer service, and the gym and inexpensive laundry are real perks. You can’t beat the laundry here. The hotel feels a little dated, or maybe it’s being renovated. The room was clean and the bed comfortable, so it works for that, but it’s far from just about everything.

I stayed for an extended period and always felt safe and well looked after. The staff were wonderful, especially Sydney, Taro, and the managers. I’m bad with names, but the cleaning lady was always so nice. Once the shuttle broke down, they got me a taxi and reimbursed the fare in cash as soon as I mentioned it. For a three to ten month stay, it was worth every penny. A short term apartment lease would have been only $100 less, while here I got rides to groceries and work and back, breakfast every day, free Wi-Fi, daily room cleaning, and plumbing or A/C problems fixed the same day or by the next day at the latest. Staying three or more months also made me a Diamond Member with the biggest hotel chain, which was a huge plus. I’m glad I chose this hotel and wouldn’t change a thing. Thanks to all the staff!
