American Inn and Suites

The rooms are affordable, and I’ve stayed here several times while traveling for work. They recently redid the floors, which gives the rooms a more modern look. I work construction and often come back dirty, so getting fresh towels each day is a real plus. I’d recommend this motel if you need a place to stay.

There are several restaurants nearby, and getting in and out is easy. The Inn is about half a mile from the highway ramp, right by a truck stop gas station, so you can avoid fighting traffic. I travel for work and need somewhere safe, clean, and quiet when I’m busy, and this place fits. It’s affordable, the service is friendly, and the Inn is very clean. I highly recommend it. I’d also stay away from hotels within Pine Bluff city limits because of the crime and drugs there. This Inn is safely out on the outskirts and feels dramatically different from the Pine Bluff area.

It’s fairly clean, but the traffic noise is bad. The guy at the front is a total #&%. He wouldn’t give my wife an extra towel, even though he knew our son was in the room, as if all three of us were supposed to share one. His wife is friendlier, so try dealing with her. I was told the price would go down if more people came, but while they were calling to book, the price went up. We won’t stay here again.

I was in room 214. There weren’t any non-smoking rooms, and the one I got reeked of ashtray. Somehow my daughter’s hair smelled even worse than the room after she’d washed it again before we left. The beds are like boards, and they don’t even use fitted sheets. That just shows how nasty the mattresses are, and they smell like ashtray too. The bathroom ceiling was falling down. This isn’t a $70-a-night room, it’s worth $45. I’ve stayed in worse places, but can’t remember when.
