Comfort Inn - Pocono Mountains

Carla at the front desk made this visit especially good. She’s a wonderful person and does a great job, and supervisors should give her some kind of public recognition. The location was perfect, the price was hard to beat, and breakfast and the pool were both great. First time here, and not a single issue.

We got our money back only after filing a complaint with the third party booking site, which had to get involved. At check-in the clerk seemed bothered and didn't speak to us. The room was absolutely disgusting: hairs on and in the bed, an old stain on the comforter, hair on the pillow, more hair in the tub and sink, mold on the bed frame, and bugs on the floor. After ten minutes, I demanded a refund. She said she couldn't do it, then said the manager was away until Monday and she couldn't print confirmation that I'd checked out less than ten minutes after checking in. The lobby chairs had chipped finish, which should've tipped me off. Stay down the road at Blakeslee Best Western instead. See pics.

Nothing fancy, but the room was clean and the breakfast was fine. It's easy to reach from the highway and a good inexpensive choice for skiing nearby. The bath was nice, though the ring around the drain looked a little oxidized. For the price, I'd stay again.

The breakfast was plentiful, tasty, and had a good range of food. The room was quiet, hot water came right away, and it was handy having a dining table, microwave, and fridge in the room. The room hadn't been cleaned thoroughly, but it was adequate. Basic, no-frills facilities with a pool, gym, and free breakfast, at about $30 less per night than the Holiday Inn.
