At least the next day I got an email saying the booking was cancelled and there were no charges on my card. Before that, though, this was a very stressful experience. I'd booked almost a week ahead and told them I'd arrive late, around 11:30 p.m. to midnight. When I got there, they said an error had left them with no room for me. The only one they offered was room 112, which smelled of smoke and looked like it had never been fixed up or renovated. They had no other option or explanation. I asked why nobody had called, emailed, texted, or left a voicemail. The receptionist claimed they'd tried all day, but that was completely untrue: I had been making and receiving calls. She couldn't find my booking at first and asked whether it was through Expedia, Booking, or another service. When I said I'd booked directly on their website, she seemed surprised. She also couldn't issue the refund, and told me to call back Monday or the next day when management would be there. They knew I was coming, yet acted like they'd tried to reach me. Find somewhere else, even if it costs a little more, and don't take the risk.

The staff were friendly and check-in was easy, and I didn't see any bugs. The room was dated and needs an upgrade, and a couple of the outlets didn't work. The Wi-Fi didn't work at all. For the price, it was okay for a few days or a quick, cheap stay on your own. I wouldn't suggest it for a family.

The breakfast offer shouldn't be used as a reason to choose this motel. The coffee was awful, and all they had were a couple of tiny, poor-quality Walmart muffins. People stopping overnight while traveling should know that before counting breakfast as value. The place is dirty and run-down, and noise carries through the roof and elsewhere, as others have mentioned. My two main concerns are breakfast and the bedding: sheets and comforters need a proper wash, and if they look dirty because they're old, replace them. A clean place to sleep is a basic motel requirement.

At least the rate was low. The room was somewhat worn and not especially clean, with hairs in the tub and sink, and the walls are thin. The two employees I dealt with seemed unhappy to be there and acted like customers were disrupting their day. It didn't feel as if the staff or ownership cared about guests' experience. Getting sheets for the sofa bed took a lot of pleading, and they initially wanted to give me only one. The advertised breakfast was just coffee, crackers, and a box of store-bought cookies all melted together. Seriously, that was it.
