The hot springs across the road are a nice perk, and the cabin was clean with a comfortable bed. But parking was muddy and not very good, and the floor slopes enough to notice while walking. For what they charge, I can only give it three stars. I’d rate it higher if the price were a bargain.

These are simple, clean cabins, and it’s an easy walk into town. We slept comfortably and the place met our needs for the night. There isn’t much privacy, though, with the cabins close together, and parking is quite limited.

The bed in cabin 102 was very comfortable, and the room stayed warm even though we were given only a few blankets. The housekeeper had cleaned well before we arrived, and hot spring access was included. But the two-night stay wasn’t worth the price. The kitchen was a joke: one fork, one bowl, no plates, one pot, no usable pan, no cutting board or sharp knives, and no salt or oil. After the first night we found mouse droppings on the bed. There was just one hanger and a few paper towels. The cabin is badly dated too, with hard-to-open doors and chunks of drywall coming off some walls.

Tenderfoot Cabin #3 was in rough shape when I stayed on 2/22/25. It was somewhat clean, but extremely old and worn out. The heater was so loud, and I couldn’t turn it off or adjust it. There wasn’t a bedside table or lamp. A hairdryer plugged into an extension cord outside the front door says a lot about the place.

I’ve loved this place for 15 years, which makes it sad to say it isn’t the same anymore. Cabin 101 has, or had, bed bugs. A doctor confirmed our bites, and I’m not the first person to report this. If nothing was done then, I doubt it has been addressed by now. Check the bedding and clean everything properly before bringing it home. The pool has also been filthy the last few times I visited, with visibility like lake water. At first I thought it might just be an occasional bad day, but it has kept getting worse. Such a shame.
