The Barron Brook Inn

We'd definitely return. Our room had a comfy, cozy king-size bed, and the bathroom was sparkling clean with all the amenities. Since it's an older inn, a taller toilet might help guests in a higher age bracket. Jason and Beth were lovely, friendly owners. They helped with our bags, shared some local history and folklore, and had coffee and continental breakfast ready early.

Barron Brook Inn was our favorite stop on a seven-week trip through the Northeast and New England. The old building was clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the decor was a refreshing change from the identical look of so many hotel rooms. Breakfast had a great variety and was delicious. Beth and Jason, thank you for your hospitality!

They spent five hours deep-cleaning our room today after I mentioned a possible issue to one of the innkeepers. The room had already been thoroughly cleaned for the start of tourist season, but they still went over it again. That's the kind of service that turns a returning guest into a lifelong customer. Barron Brook Inn is the cleanest establishment I've ever stayed in, and I usually stay at the best hotels. It's already charming, and I've been back before. I'll probably spend every summer vacation here until I die or the innkeepers pass away or sell. I won't even consider a few of the competitors now.

Jason, the innkeeper, was helpful with suggestions for local sights and restaurants. We enjoyed our two nights there while visiting NH and VT in early October. It's a small, clean, comfortable place, easy to reach from White Mountain National forest and an easy drive to popular spots in Vermont.
