Ramada by Wyndham Sarasota Waterfront

Bruce in the hotel restaurant was a delight, so warm and welcoming to the area, and incredibly accommodating. Melissa also put together a delicious breakfast spread. The food and service were great, and the pool is heated. We loved that the Tiki bar had live music, too. This was my first time in Sarasota with my kids, and I was nervous about booking somewhere new. I’m really glad we chose this Ramada Inn. Everyone, from the front desk to the restaurant staff, was so nice and hospitable. We’re looking forward to coming back!

The grounds are beautiful and perfectly manicured, and we loved relaxing in the shade in the Adirondack chairs by the waterfront each day. Breakfast was well stocked and very clean, with Patty and Melisa greeting each of us personally. It’s an older hotel, but the Ramada Inn is superbly well kept. Our room was spotless, the beds were comfortable, and housekeeping did an awesome job restocking rooms and mopping the hall floors and lobby each day. Everything smelled fresh and clean. This will be our stop whenever we’re in Sarasota!

The setting by the marina was so calming, with beautiful landscaping and those old Florida two-story buildings, some with patios overlooking the water. We stayed in one of the updated one-room studio suites, and ours was perfect and fully stocked with amenities. The owner was easy to reach and clearly dedicated to making our stay perfect. The location worked well for our track meet, in a less crowded part of Sarasota right beside the Sarasota airport and the Ringling Mansion. We drove 20 mins to Lido Beach, which was very clean and had sufficient road parking and a shower to rinse our feet. The on-site restaurant was popular and often near capacity, with local bands each night, but I couldn’t hear the music in my room. The staff were excellent, always available, smiling, proactive, and accommodating. The breakfast bar has a small charge, and Bruce and Miriam went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed it.

I felt so relaxed sitting in the Adirondack chairs and watching the planes go by. The harbor view was amazing, with fancy yachts, and there was a nice restaurant and bar. Breakfast was really good too, and the staff were incredible. The rooms were very, very clean. Highly recommend.
