Comfort Inn & Suites Northern Kentucky

I’ve stayed here a few times, probably four now. The service and housekeeping have been great, and the hotel itself is decent. But twice on my four visits, the shower drain backed up until water was around my ankles while I was washing. That was pretty gross. Some rooms also have better bedding than others, and a few mattresses feel worn and due for replacement. You can ask the front desk to move rooms if something’s wrong. I was just bothered enough by the plumbing happening twice that I wanted to mention it in case someone else runs into the same thing.

The rooms really need updating, and ours wasn’t very clean. The carpet had stains in several spots and felt sticky under my socks. There was hair and a blob of shampoo in the shower, and the seams need new caulk since they looked like mold was coming through. We also had to kill two spiders, a fly, and a moth in our third-floor room. On the plus side, breakfast was good, with the usual continental choices like waffles, eggs, sausage, cereal, yogurt, toast, juice, and coffee. The staff were kind and helpful, and the area felt safe. Riverbend is close by, and there’s a movie theater, pizza place, and sports bar with good food within walking distance.

The breakfast was one of the better ones I’ve had on the road. There was plenty of seating, and the bar had bacon, eggs, toast, bagels, cereal, make-your-own waffles, juice, coffee, and more. We were just passing through and needed a break from driving. The lobby felt welcoming, with nice lighting, and the staff greeted us warmly and knew the area. The room was clean, the beds comfortable, and it had a small fridge and microwave. As an older person, I did wish the room lighting was brighter. A couple of restaurants are within walking distance, too. Would I stay again if I’m nearby? Yes, good job all around.

The kids had a great time in the pool and were ready for a calm bedtime afterward. Our room was comfortable and clean, and breakfast had lots to choose from, including waffles, bacon, eggs, cereal, yogurt, muffins, coffee, and more. The front desk welcomed us warmly, and everyone we dealt with was kind and helpful. We had no complaints.
