Oakview Hotel

The location made it easy for my wife and me to explore the boardwalk. We planned to walk one half one day and the other half the next, and there are plenty of places to eat and play games. A bike rental station is just steps from the hotel, too. Parking is in an underground lot a block away. It gets busy and cars can block each other, so a corner spot is a good idea. Our second-floor room had chairs outside where we could sit and enjoy the view. It was compact, as expected, but comfortable enough for two adults and our baby. The mini fridge had a roomy freezer compartment, and there was a microwave. The bathroom was tight to walk past the sink, but it worked fine and the shower had plenty of hot water. The air conditioner seemed nearly new and cooled the room very well, almost too well. Guests have to switch it off when leaving for the day, so the room was warm when we returned, but cooled quickly once we turned it back on. We could have used more outlets. The extension cord by the TV wasn't enough with a 7-month-old and things like a bottle warmer and sock monitors. There was no iron or ironing board. The front desk woman was incredibly friendly, greeting me with a warm hello and good morning, and complimenting my outfit when she liked it. She may be the owner. We had no complaints and would definitely stay here again.

We were just a block from the beach, and there was even an outdoor shower for rinsing off after it. Our second-floor room had its own outdoor entrance and had recently been renovated. It was very clean, with fresh linens, a nice hot shower, cool air conditioning, and a few basic kitchen appliances. The woman at the office who checked us in was very nice. My boyfriend and I had a really great stay.

There was free parking, about a five-minute walk to the beach, and only two minutes to the boardwalk. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the back showers were handy for getting the sand off. Our family stayed in July, and the rooms were clean and a good size for three people. There's also a little kitchen for cooking. We'll definitely stay here next time we vacation at wildwood.

The location is wonderfully walkable, just three doors from the boardwalk and beach, with free parking across the street in a boardwalk garage nearby for our whole stay. Management was kind and helpful, and the atmosphere felt welcoming. It's an old property that's been completely refurbished. The rooms are small but redone and very clean, which matters most to me. The bed linens and bath towels were very clean and nice. Bring your own bath soap and hair dryer, since neither was provided. I picked this no-frills place because the price was a bargain.
