The updated suite had plenty of room for my family, and check-in with the professional front desk staff was easy. We liked being so close to the beach and just a five-minute drive from the boardwalk. The pool was too cold for my kids, though. They lasted only about 5-10 minutes before getting out. I also wasn’t happy with the no-guest policy: family staying at a nearby motel couldn’t come over for dinner. I wish there had been a fan in the bedroom and AC in the living room. It got really hot overnight, and the living room fan just moved the hot air around.

This is a lovely place if you want a quiet, retirement-style setting. The rooms were clean and practical, and you’re one block from beach access and a short walk from the start of the boardwalk. My coffee pot didn’t work, though, and the no-guest rule was a problem for us. My mother, sister, and baby nephew came to meet us but were turned away. It felt like a 55-and-older community that didn’t want outsiders, whatever the reason. They drove down at the last minute for one night and ended up choosing another motel, so I wouldn’t book this place for a short, last-minute stay. It also costs a full $100 more than comparable places a block away. We had a nice stay, but as a younger family, I don’t think we’d come back.

The staff, including Chris, were kind and straightforward, and our room was kept tidy with regular cleaning. We never had trouble finding a parking spot when we returned. The location is handy, a block or two from the beach, near ACME for groceries and drinks, and close to the start of the Wildwood Boardwalk and the tramcars. Our suite had a comfortable living room with a TV, a very clean bathroom, and a bedroom where the air conditioner worked great. The small kitchen had a Keurig, complimentary coffee, and dish soap. There’s also a nice seating area on the balcony above the pool. After the beach, our three kids loved the heated pool and asked about it every day. Everything was so clean and wonderful that we didn’t want to leave. Such a great hidden gem and family hotel. I’d give it 10 stars if I could. Hope to come back soon!

We enjoyed our three-night stay at the seascape inn, and the location was wonderful for getting to the beach and boardwalk. The rooms were clean and had what we needed, though the bed was a little uncomfortable. The pool was very clean, but I think it should be warmer if it’s advertised as heated. We had a wonderful time and definitely recommend staying here.

The room was old, smelled terrible, and had a bathroom that looked like it was from the 50s, with vanity doors coming off and a green bathtub. My friend and I arrived on 6/12/25 for three nights because we were in town for my son’s Coast Guard Training graduation. I had paid $300 in advance, then had to pay another $300 on arrival plus a $100 security deposit. There was a chemical smell when we entered, and it seemed worse after we turned on the wall AC. We came back around 8 pm after a quick change for a parent dinner. At 8:30, I went to the office, which was closed even though it said it was open until 9. I rang the bell and got no response, so we left to find another motel that represented itself honestly. I left the manager a voicemail explaining why we’d left and asking why the office was closed. He texted back abruptly, asking why I hadn’t texted him instead. We explained our concerns, but he would refund none of our money except the $100 deposit. They almost didn’t return the deposit because I had no receipt, though they hadn’t given me one. They did write on our room receipt that John had received the $100 deposit. I think they charge whatever they want, since now in July, peak vacation season, it costs less. Such a horrible experience. If you want to have a good time in Cape May, go to Cape Harbor Motel, where we ended up, not the Sea Scape Motel. I’d bet they rented our room out again for those three days and doubled their money.
