On our Boston to Pittsburgh trips, we’ve used this as a stopover twice. The room was comfortable and clean, and the staff paid close attention to us. Breakfast stood out most: the women preparing it deserve credit. I stay at plenty of hotels, and I haven’t had a better buffet breakfast. They even set the tables with real silverware and napkins, no plastic cutlery or paper plates.

We were visiting family, so the location worked well. The hot breakfast was tasty, especially the roasted potatoes, and the fitness room had enough equipment. Staff were friendly and the hotel was clean. We did find some hairs left in the sink and tub, and the toilet clogged and needed plunging. Still, we had a good stay and would consider coming back.

The beds were comfy, the room was quiet, and the big TV and helpful staff were nice. Downtown was convenient, but the pet areas were small and poorly kept. My 15 pound dog wasn’t very pleased.

Wilkes University is nearby, and that’s the one good thing I can say about the location. The room, lobby, and dining area all need serious renovation. Our shower barely had any hot water, and the AC smelled odd when it was running. Some staff in the morning were pleasant, but the evening crew had a lot of attitude. The hospitality just wasn’t there.

The hotel was clean and in a great spot, but Lekisha Lewis is why I’m writing this. Just before midnight I needed help, and Lekisha, the overnight desk clerk and auditor, was incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond. She made the stay comfortable and enjoyable, and her positive attitude meant a lot. I asked for her full name so she’d get the recognition she deserves. We’d book here again because of her customer service.
