Patriots Inn

My husband, teenage daughter, and I stayed at the Patriot Inn. It was quiet, felt safe, and was super clean. Our nice room had a full kitchen stocked with the pots, pans, and accessories we might need, plus two bathrooms, an unexpected perk. The location was convenient for restaurants, grocery stores, and even a movie theater. Colonial Williamsburg was minutes away, and Yorktown and Busch Gardens were both about 15 minutes away. We'll come back.

The location is great, with several restaurants close enough to walk to, and the movie theater is nearby too. Colonial Williamsburg is a nice 15-minute bike ride away. The rooms were clean and felt homely, with two bathrooms, a full-size fridge, and a stove with an oven. I love this hotel and would recommend it. The parking is the downside, with small spaces.

We had a really enjoyable stay at this inn. Our suite was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and I appreciated having plenty of parking. The pool and hot tub were both well maintained. There are lots of food options nearby, as well as a pharmacy, shops, and some fun thrift stores. It's about 10-15 minutes from the amusement park and water park. My one bit of feedback is the bathroom: it was clean overall, but I noticed a little black mold starting on the shower tile. It wasn't a major issue, but worth watching before it gets worse. Everything else was wonderful, and I'd gladly stay again.

Where do I even start? This doesn't feel like a hospitality stay. They leave barely anything in the room: one trash bag, one dishwasher tab, and just one towel and washcloth for one person for six days. The layout is nice and the small kitchen was handy, but the beds were stiff and really uncomfortable. Every door squeaked, so it was impossible not to wake someone, and the couch was loud and uncomfortable too. The floors were extremely sticky. At least it was a quiet room, with no hallway or neighbor noise. The pool was clean, but the hot tub was lukewarm and full of suds every day. The front desk said there were no pool towels. When we asked the cleaning lady, she gave us an attitude. There's no daily housekeeping, yet they charged us a fee. Wi-Fi was an absolute nightmare, constantly cutting in and out. The halls still had the same trash and dirt from our first day when we left a week later, so I can't call this hotel clean. The location was good for what we wanted, with most things within 10 minutes and plenty of places to eat. Very basic hotel.
