The outdoor area looked neat and well kept. Inside, the room was decent for the price, with a comfortable enough bed and working AC and heater, though the property itself felt dated. Cleanliness was acceptable but needed work, especially in the bathroom and room corners. There was some wear and tear, maintenance could be better, amenities were basic, and breakfast choices limited. Check-in was smooth and the staff polite and helpful. Super 8 in Williamsburg, KY is convenient off I-75, with food and gas stations nearby, and it can do for an affordable night or two if you keep expectations realistic. It isn’t a luxury stay, but better upkeep would help. I don’t have a photo of the hotel, just one of what it looks like outside in the mornings of January.

We ended up leaving in the middle of the night and switching hotels after this stay. Room 100 smelled awful as soon as we entered, and the odor never went away. It was about 2°C outside, and the heater made so much noise all night that sleeping was basically impossible. The pillows were tiny, like baby pillows, and there was no proper blanket, just a thin sheet-like cover. We asked for pillows and blankets in the middle of the night and were told there weren’t any. No solution or apology was offered. When we raised the smell, heater and bedding problems, staff told us to “refund the money,” even though we’d booked a week ahead. The front desk staff were terrible, especially the Indian lady working there. She was rude and dismissive, and we didn’t feel welcome or helped at all. The whole short stay was a mess. I wouldn’t recommend it. Clean rooms and basic bedding are the minimum, and this place couldn’t manage either, with awful staff attitude on top.

There were some good things in the room: the wall art was nice, the fridge was cold, TV channels worked, shower was hot, there were no bugs, and it wasn’t dirty exactly. My parent liked the soft bed. Outside looked neat and well cared for. The heater, though, was loud and clanky, the freezer compartment was dirty, and parts of the room were rusty or in disrepair. We paid $52 plus tax, about $61 total, which felt fair. As of 2/17/26 there was no breakfast, despite the website pages, reservation, confirmation text, front desk sign, and evening employee all saying there would be. In the morning they said outlets in the breakfast room weren’t working, so there was only coffee. But muffins, fruit or granola bars don’t need electricity. The evening employee said the only room available was on the second floor, which seemed odd with only three cars in the lot. Many rooms no longer had numbers on the doors. Nobody warned us that an online booking, even through the Super8 website, could take “several hours” to appear in the motel computer. The front desk employee was adamant she couldn’t check us in until it came through. We didn’t wait long, but you’d want to know that before booking a prepaid, non-refundable room, not from the confirmation text. The Super 8 chain seems like a business mess.

The room had no WiFi, and basic items were missing: there wasn’t any bar soap for washing hands or showering. Only two thin sheets were provided, with no comforter, and one lamp didn’t work. The bathroom toilet hadn’t been cleaned, the microwave was visibly dirty, and the heating and cooling vent was dirty too. Overall, the hygiene was unacceptable and the room poorly maintained. A very disappointing stay.

Internet matters to us even for one night, and getting a laptop online here was ridiculous. Staff told us to bring our laptops to the front desk so they could connect them, which sounded like a security issue. I eventually got one laptop online after connecting my phone, sharing its internet with the laptop via the camera, turning around three times, saying the magic words six times and standing on my head. Somehow the same sign-in page where you enter the phone password appeared. The other laptop never connected. As my guy said, “we expect internet just like we expect flushing toilets.” That’s true. I’m writing this so I NEVER stay here again. All the “accessible rooms” are inside, with nowhere to park near the door. That may work if you use a wheelchair, but if your mobility is limited, avoid it unless you can get one of the roughly 10 rooms on the “parking” side.
