We've enjoyed the Inn several times a year for years, and agree with much of the praise in other reviews. A big part of our visits was breakfast brought to our room, a fantastic way to start the day. Then, without notice, the Inn stopped all room service in the fall of 2025. Because of health concerns, we don't eat in indoor restaurants, so losing that service suddenly was a challenge for us. In October, the GM, Ms. Rodriguez, told us a replacement would be rolled out "soon." We trusted her and came back at the end of December, only to find there was still no room service. For a "luxury" Inn that also charges an extra "resort" fee, the loss of such a basic service is surprising. There aren't many breakfast places nearby, so we'll bring our own breakfast next time. We'll be back, but the Inn has lost some of its lustre. It feels like costs are rising while amenities shrink. Other things seem to be slipping too: getting the same answer from housekeeping, reservations, and billing staff can be difficult.

We found it best to arrange tickets for local events and sights through the hotel. We didn't stay at the inn itself, but at one of the properties they manage on the main street of reconstructed Colonial Williamsburg. The location was great and the room was alright, thankfully without any attempt to look like an authentic bedroom. Beds were comfortable, but blankets were scarce and hot water uneven. Maintenance wasn't especially good, though housekeeping did a good job and the room was clean. The maids ignored my do not disturb sign, and there was no in-room safe. The Inn itself is beautiful. We ate breakfast there twice, and both the food and service were wonderful. Definitely 5 stars for that.

We liked the inn so much we added an extra night. The lovely lobby fireplaces were a favorite spot, and we enjoyed the treats each evening. Everyone was superb: Tim at registration, Angel in the bar and dining room, George and the other bellmen, and my precious housekeeper. Thank you for four such enjoyable nights.

This was our second visit to the Williamsburg Inn, and the setting is hard to beat. We really enjoyed the expanded menu this year, every meal was fantastic, which we couldn't say last year. But we missed in-room dining a lot. We had looked forward to breakfast brought to our room each morning and only found out it wasn't offered anymore when we arrived. Late checkout let us enjoy our last morning properly, so thank you, Kerry Ann! Kendall and William in the Restoration Lounge were also a highlight of the trip. Kendall's Autumn Glow signature cocktail was fantastic.

We only stopped in for lunch, not an overnight stay. The dining room was elegant and nicely decorated, with comfortable seating and attentive service. The food was excellent, and while it was pricey, the Banana Foster's bread pudding made it feel worth it. Colonial Williamsburg and its activities are easy to reach on foot.
