Elmwood Farm B&B

Kendle Quarter might be our favorite room so far. It's spacious, has modern bathroom amenities, and looks out on the adorable alpacas wandering around. My husband and I have stayed at Elmwood several times over the past few years, often around New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. It's such a peaceful way to leave the busy Christmas season behind and welcome the new year. Lettie and Selena are warm and welcoming, and the house always feels like a second home. We look forward to returning every year and highly recommend it for a quiet getaway. Thank you!

We stayed in the roomy basement room, Soldier's Retreat, which you can reach from the patio outside. The mattress was so comfortable, and I liked the pillows enough to buy one at their little store on the grounds. Selina makes hearty, tasty breakfasts from scratch, and I especially loved her crapes. Lettie and Selina are friendly and make you feel at home. The place is outside the city in a quiet spot, yet only a few minutes from Antietam Battlefield, Hagarstown, and Williamsport. If we're back in the area, we'd stay here again.

I went to a wedding at Elmwood Farm and really enjoyed my stay. The ceremony was outside, and the reception was in the refurbished barn. It’s a beautiful, peaceful place to relax, whether you're there for an event or a getaway.

After several rainy days on the trail during our nine-day tandem bicycle trip from Pittsburgh, Selena and Lettie helped us with our gear and bike, then dried our clothes and had them ready the next morning. Their hospitality, the food, and the setting were all great. They really know how to look after people, and you can't go wrong staying with them. We stayed at some great places along the way, but this was clearly the best. Selena and Lettie are sisters and the fifth generation at this historic farmhouse, and they truly have a gift for hospitality.
