Red Roof Inn Cleveland - Mentor/ Willoughby

We stayed six days for a decent price. It was quiet, clean, and close to places to eat within walking distance. Housekeeping were friendly, and they gave us three extra-large towels and another face cloth without any trouble. The beds were a little firmer than I'm used to, but comfortable enough that I'd often fall asleep after sitting down for a quick rest. I do wish the rooms had a fridge, since we had to spend more eating out instead of making sandwiches. Next time I'll bring a cooler to keep things cold. I'll most likely stay again.

My car broke down at 3 in the morning while I was passing through Cleveland. A few hotels quoted ridiculous rates, but Red Roof offered me a very fair one. The clean room and unstained, comfortable mattress were more than I expected. A pleasantly surprising motel and good value.

For what they charge, the cleaning was honestly sad. The floors were filthy, with food and hair in the carpet, and every pillow had hair on it. The room smelled like weed, and there were full-grown spiderwebs in the lights and dead bugs outside the shower. The mirror looked smeared with forehead grease. Even the envelope for tipping the 'cleaning' lady had dirt or ash on it. I saw no sign the place had been cleaned in weeks.

Just right for a quick night on our road trip. The place was very clean, staff were pleasant, and it was dog friendly. Parking right in front of the room was easy. We felt very safe, and there was a Sheetz gas and food stop nearby, along with other options.
