Baymont by Wyndham Willow Park

Found a dirty bra behind the bed. The room was filthy, with dead bugs, hair, and other disgusting stuff all over the corners, and the carpet looked like it had never been cleaned. It seemed like room service only bothered to make the beds. I'm not convinced they wipe down the surfaces between guests. Unacceptable.

The breakfast was miserable too: cereal or a waffle, cold coffee, and a juice and water machine that didn't work. The syrup jug was covered in spilled syrup, and they only had a fork and spoon for the waffle I ate. I got two rooms, and neither was any good. The first smelled like an ashtray, even though I'd just signed the non-smoking warning, and looked like an early DIY job. The second was a little better but still below standard, with a dirty bathroom and a sink that was badly installed and sealed. When I leaned on the dresser to take off my shoes, it nearly collapsed. There were just two towels and two pillows, burn holes in the dirty bedding, and only the sheets seemed clean. I got three hours of sleep on a hard bed with no real blanket. The door wouldn't close properly. It looked as if someone had repeatedly kicked in the bottom and repaired it with metal screws from the outside. The website pictures are a lie. One of the worst hotel experiences I've had, and I should've read the reviews first. My wife thought it was even worse than I did, so this is the kind version. The place should be leveled.

I was on a really tight budget with my daughter and three grandkids, so the Expedia price worked out well for the first few days. We decided to stay one more day, but paying directly by card cost a bit more.

The room had plenty of character, if cockroaches and mystery wall art are your thing. One ran off when I turned on the bathroom light without even introducing himself. There were what looked like poop smears on the walls, and maybe they were aiming for little poop emojis. Acrylic paint would've been less messy, though. The bed sheets felt like acupuncture, with tiny red clusters all over us when we woke up. They were itchy, too. The air freshener smelled like prime mold, and the key fob's battery pack was dangling where the do not disturb sign should've been. Charming touch. The refrigerator had a button that wouldn't turn, or maybe the button was missing, I can't say for sure. The app photos did the property no favors. If a room could shout a word at you, this one would've yelled “Hepatitis.” A, B, or C, any of them fit. Run for your life if you end up here. Spend a couple bucks more and leave without worrying about chlamydia. Cheers.
