Interstate Motel

Room #6 at the Interstate Motel has a mirror that seems to know things about you. After a while, a voice comes from it, first as a whisper, then saying your name the way it sounds in your dreams. It starts asking strange questions, like where you’re going and what you left in Dallas. You find yourself answering, and then the reflection starts showing things that aren’t in the room, including a version of you that doesn’t blink when you do. The room has its usual problems too: cigarette burns on the comforter, a humming fridge, and a flickering bathroom light. But the mirror is the part that sticks with you. One guest stayed three days, paid cash, and left before sunrise without checking out. They’d covered the mirror with a motel towel. The cleaning lady says she leaves it alone, and once heard a man humming behind it. She’s also seen her reflection smile before she did. If you end up at Interstate Motel on I-20, in Room #6, don’t talk to the mirror. It’s still listening, and it remembers voices.

The rooms are small, dirty, and shabby, and every door looks as if it’s been kicked in. Maintenance is badly done, below apprentice level at best, and the property looks so neglected it ought to be condemned and bulldozed. This is a no tell motel I wouldn’t rent at. If you’re smart, keep going and find somewhere cleaner and more accommodating.

The pictures posted don’t match what this motel looks like. There are mice in the time, and the manager doesn’t understand much English. This place is a dump.

It smelled bad and was dirty and grimy. The motel is nasty, and they have bed bugs. They didn’t even want to give me a refund. This place is such a disgrace, and I wouldn’t recommend it. P.S. it’s not kid friendly.
