The Inn at Whiteface

The owner is thoughtful and knows a lot, and she makes a wonderful breakfast. Staying here feels like visiting Grand Mom. It’s quiet, clean, and comfortable, right beside Whiteface Mountain. If you’re after a modern hotel with all the latest amenities, this won’t be the place for you. I’ll be back. It’s also for sale, and could be a great opportunity for someone looking for a B&B with potential.

The beds were warm and comfortable, and we could see Whiteface from our pillows. There were plenty of extra towels and amenities, and the inn was well kept. The living room was a fun place to gather and meet people from around the world. Our group of five stayed over MLK weekend and had a wonderful time. The innkeeper was kind and accommodating, serving a delicious hot breakfast every morning and even offering hors d'oeuvre before dinner. The only issue was the tub in golf room #3, where the water didn’t drain well. It seems like an easy fix. Great experience for the price, and I’d recommend it.

After decades of visiting the Lake Placid area, we found this inn just this summer, and it’s now my favorite place to stay when I’m not camping or backpacking. The rooms are lovely and comfortable, the view toward Whiteface Mtn. is amazing, and the inn keeper is wonderful. We’ll definitely return.

Sonya and Steve are such lovely innkeepers and really take care of their guests. The lodge has loads of character and great decor, and it’s right beside the mountain. Can’t wait to come back. Highly recommended!
