The location, activities, atmosphere, and tents were all great. Betty was absolutely delightful and accommodating during our first night. We came for my birthday, but the chef was out sick, so the multi-course dinner and birthday cake we'd expected didn't happen. We had to go into town for dinner instead. There was no apology or discount, and the on-site team couldn't prepare the cuisine we'd been expecting during the trip.

We wanted a quiet, relaxing weekend, and that's what we got. We enjoy country life and quiet music, so we'd definitely visit again. The staff were polite, accommodating, and great at making the stay memorable. The chef deserves special mention: we're vegetarians, and the kitchen found and cooked options for us, including specific requests from the kids. This was easily our best outdoor stay. The place is clean and as pictured, with friendly staff throughout. Check-in was quick, and services are handled by text, with the front desk available for needs. It's gated, which made us feel a little safer, and far from noise with nice views. Our room had coolers for hot days and a small fireplace for winter. There are little flyers and crawlers when you're living outdoors, but that shouldn't bother you much if you understand that and like nature. There are hammocks, a nature-friendly play area, a small trail, a fireplace with a view, and an outdoor room for small parties. It may not have all the extra recreation you want, but Wimberley city is about 15-20 minutes away for food, groceries, and entertainment. Phone service is good, and they offer internet, though we didn't really need it.

My favorite moment was morning coffee from our French press, looking out at the hills and fog. Being in nature while feeling as comfortable as at home was hard to beat. My husband and I spent a weekend at Collective Hill Country for our 11th anniversary, and the safari tent impressed him as much as everything else. We like getting away from people, so this suited us perfectly. The views around the property are impeccable, and it feels like a great place to reconnect and remember the value of time together. As a multi-family property manager, I notice the details. The facilities were gorgeous, everything was immaculate and well cared for, and even the landscaping was thoughtfully trimmed. Do yourself a favor and take your partner or family for a weekend or longer. Highly recommend!

My family, friends, and I were impressed by every part of our stay, from the resort's atmosphere to the luxurious tents with AC and effective heating. The front desk ladies were exceptional, and the hospitality and service made the visit unforgettable. I've traveled for years and never had service like this. It goes well beyond a five-star rating.

We spent a couple of days here for our wedding anniversary and loved being so close to nature. The tents are nicely furnished, the surroundings and views are beautiful, and there's a decent hiking trail. We had morning coffee on the porch with birds and nature sounds. The lodge is inviting for meals and drinks, and the fire pit area is too. Not every tent has an open-area view, though. Staff at the Collective were friendly and professional, and communication, arrival, and checkout were smooth. Breakfast uses locally sourced ingredients, and the morning pastry box was a nice touch. I just wish the pastry had been warm, or freshly baked. The self-cooked, prepackaged BBQ dinner was less appealing than suggested: the cooking times didn't match the heat intensity, so we waited too long to eat. It wasn't a big deal, but since I was asked about the occasion when booking, a small anniversary acknowledgement would have been nice. Truck noise nearby each morning was a bit annoying, though maybe temporary and not something much could be done about. Maybe it was just early in the season and things will settle in later. I'd return, but would plan to do more sightseeing and perhaps choose different dining options.
