The check-in was easy, the woman at the desk was helpful, and checkout took no time. It was noisy until around 1 a.m., though that wasn't a major issue. We were asked about animal allergies and told we'd be staying in one of their animal rooms. Later, while we were traveling, a charge appeared for excessive pet hair. When I called, they said we'd had a pet in the room. I explained we had no animals and had been told it was an animal room, so the hair could have been there before we arrived. Keep an eye on your account.

I spent five days here while my truck was in the shop. The rates were high, but I had a good time. There are plenty of places to eat and hang out within walking distance, and I found a few good restaurants. The Pig out front is worth a try, though I wasn't impressed with the chicken. Butch Cassidy's Saloon had bottles of Bud for 2 for 3 bucks and happy hour until midnight. The rooms were clean, the employees respectful, and it was a great hotel to stay at.

The morning desk staff seemed lovely, friendly, and accommodating. The evening welcome was another story. The woman at the front desk was probably the most unpleasant person I've ever encountered, and after picking up food I had to walk through a cloud of cigarette smoke from her smoking outside the front door. The rooms are basic with small beds. People kept coming and going in the halls, and men were talking loudly after 11 p.m., so I had trouble sleeping.

The bathroom was clogged when we arrived, but the attendant blamed me and told me to deal with it. I said it had been clogged at check-in, yet she made me go to her office for a declogger and fix it myself. I paid $132 for the night. Don't make my mistake. Stay away from this motel 8 and spend more for a better hotel.
