The front desk staff were good, and the shower had plenty of hot water. The water looked a little off, though it was probably a city issue. The room had the basics, including working A/C and heat, basic cable, and internet, which was fine for the stay.

The male owner was really nice. The female owner was rude and disrespectful, and I had a hard time understanding her accent. Poor man.

I left without checking out after people from the room next door knocked on my door late at night. They'd been coming and going all night, and I suspected there might be drug activity. When I told management I felt unsafe, they made it worse by telling those people what I'd said. I felt completely unsafe during my stay at the Evergreen Inn in Winfield, Louisiana, and would never recommend it.

Roaches in the room and black mold growing around the toilet made it impossible to feel comfortable, especially with the bathroom being so disgusting. The whole place also smelled strongly of marijuana the entire time I was there. I wouldn't recommend the Evergreen Inn in Winfield, Louisiana, and I won't stay here again. X by

The room was fine, clean, and seemed upgraded, even though the Evergreen Inn is an older motel. The woman checking us in was nice, but the setup was strange: we had to wait outside and use a teller window, while the restaurant in the same building welcomed people in just around the corner. My wife and I stayed one night a couple of weeks ago, and we didn't try the restaurant. I've traveled a lot as an old guy and never seen check-in done that way. Maybe it's normal where the owners are from, since I think they're not from the US. Still, it was a pleasant stay. Kind of weird, but I'd definitely recommend the place, and if we return to Winnfield, I'd stay there again.
