The staff seemed annoyed when I asked for bar soap, even though basic amenities should already be in the room. The room smelled bad, wasn't clean enough, and looked like it hadn't been cleaned properly in a while. The bathroom was dirty, and we had to fix the toilet to get it to flush. Breakfast wasn't good either. This older room doesn't meet the Hampton Inn standard.

In two rooms that I know of, the curtains wouldn't close, leaving three bright lights shining straight onto the beds. Check-in was a disaster too. The person on duty spoke very little English and seemed to understand even less. It took forever to check someone in, and she seemed unsure what to do. She handed out keys without knowing who was assigned to the rooms. I suggested getting the guests' names, and she got a signature that couldn't be read.

I stayed here last August, and it was one of the worst hotel experiences I've had. I was driving all day and just wanted sleep, so I put up with the visibly dirty room, broken mirror, filthy bathroom, and years of dust and dirt. The room was poorly lit, the AC was weak, and I wore sandals in the shower. In the morning I saw mold in the AC, which clearly hadn't been serviced in years. I regularly stay at Hampton hotels, more than 30 nights this year alone, and this was a shock. The front doors were wide open when I arrived, letting in bugs, heat, and smoke from someone outside. My digital key didn't work, so I waited a while for someone to come to the desk. The woman who helped was apologetic and very nice. Breakfast was much smaller than at other Hampton Inns I've stayed at. There were two people eating in the breakfast area whom I thought might work there, though I can't say for sure. I picked at a couple of things and decided to get food on the road. When I went to get the waters I usually receive because of my Hilton status, I was reluctantly given one and told that's all I get with status. I'm going through this area again, as I have a few times in the last year. I booked another Hampton for a trip at the end of October 2025. Before that, I checked the reviews hoping something, maybe the ownership or management, had changed. I don't try to hurt anyone's business, but this was my experience, and it looks like others had similar ones. I wanted people to know the ratings I'd relied on didn't reflect the actual reviews. I may have called corporate after I left during my stay. In response to the hotel's question, the night desk person was a nice, younger blonde woman, probably in her late 20s or 30s. The morning woman looked East Asian to me, though I may be wrong. If so, I apologize. I think I still have the pictures on my phone. I uploaded a few for the hotel and others to see. The front doors really were wide open when I arrived, though perhaps they've been fixed since.

The area is nice and easy to get around from, and the lobby and hallways have been updated. My room didn't look like it had been, though. It felt like an '80s bowling alley and smelled. Bleach works great on mildew, so it's your friend when cleaning it.

The room was a good size and the bed was comfortable, and the staff were friendly. Still, I don't think I'll stay here again. The curtains were a problem: the draw stick was off on one side, I couldn't get the curtain next to the window to close properly, and the thick blackout curtains wouldn't close at all. My room faced bright outdoor lights. The wall AC unit was very loud, even though there was a central AC control box on the wall, and no cool air reached the bathroom, so it got very hot while I was getting ready. Breakfast was disappointing too. The milk was sour, and the spout only let out a trickle, so it took forever. There was just one kind of fruit, an apple, and none of the boxed milk or usual options I'm used to at the Hilton hotels I've stayed in. The selection was very limited. The furniture had been dusted, but the lamps and charging port were covered in dust, like they hadn't been touched in a month.
