Motel 6 Winslow, AZ

We only needed a bed and a shower for the night, and this place covered the basics well. The room was spotless, large, and looked just like the website photos. The bed was so comfortable that we took the sheets off in the morning to check the mattress brand and model. Sleep quality is what matters most to us on a trip, and we slept great. The bathroom was tiny, just enough space for the sink and counter, toilet, and tub/shower. Sitting on the toilet, you could put an elbow on the counter and reach the tub beside you. Two people could only fit if one was in the shower, and the fiberglass tub surround creaked a lot. We had a microwave and fridge, but no coffee maker or hair dryer.

The front desk woman on the evening shift was helpful and friendly, and the cleaning staff were really nice too. Our room was clean and a decent size. I liked that its window faced the parking lot, so moving my stuff in was easy, and I could keep an eye on my bike outside. I felt fine leaving it there. The TV had plenty of channels and worked well, and the fridge and microwave were fine. They also had free coffee in the morning. The pillows felt too hard on my neck, though I travel with my own. I think lately they just give you a bar of soap instead of shampoo. Winslow is a small town and could use support. Flagstaff is expensive by comparison, but Winslow is a good way to save. There’s also Indian nationals park where you can visit ruins. They’re pet friendly, so I’ll bring my cat next time!

A really nice stop on our road trip. The beds were comfortable, and we had a fridge, microwave, and a hot shower. Coffee and tea were available in the morning, and the vending machine was stocked. Thanks!

We stayed through a windstorm, and the staff kept at it, cleaning the hallways the whole time. Everyone was friendly, the room was clean, and the location worked well for us.
