Best Western Plus University Inn

Our first stay at a Best Western went really well. Everyone was friendly and helped with our questions, and the room was clean and comfortable. The shower pressure was amazing. The elevator was a little scary, but we'd definitely recommend the hotel and come back.

Both of the female employees I dealt with were fine, but the weed smell on the entire 4th floor was so strong it gave me a headache, and I had to change rooms. I made a last-minute booking, so I had to check out and check back in before I could ask for another room, but the strong smell was still there. Even after I got home and washed my clothes, they smelled like weed. The hotel has signs banning cigarettes, weed, and vaping, but they don't enforce the rules. In my first room, the bedside table was close to the A/C and the alarm clock was unplugged on the floor. I told a third-shift employee, but nothing was done. I was hoping to relax that weekend and ended up feeling hotboxed. I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

I've stayed here on and off for work for a few months. The hotel itself is okay, but staff can be rude and argumentative. I've had room issues before, though they were resolved, until what happened today. After checking in and settling into my room, my key card stopped working. I found out I'd been checked into and charged for the wrong reservation, despite handing over my ID and payment card with my name on them. The woman at the front desk at 5:27 p.m. on 2/12/26 said she'd fixed the key card, no problem. When I returned to the counter after seeing another charge on my phone, both she and the hotel manager argued with me when I asked about the double charge and compensation. It wasn't my fault, or my problem, that their employees couldn't use the correct reservation with my identification in hand. I'm waiting for a refund. I left and won't return to this location. I strongly recommend staying elsewhere.

I found bedbugs in four rooms, all with the same result. I've filed reports with the Health Department, CDC, hotel booking sites, Best Western, and the hotel, but got no response. Managers knew this had been an issue since July 2025. It's disgusting. I used to like this hotel, but this management company ruined it, and I won't stay at a Best Western again. Please check your room when you check into any hotel. I have health problems that make bedbug bites very painful and make walking difficult. No one told me whether it had been professionally treated. I waited a couple of days for Terrance, but you never called or responded about the issue. This hotel gets zero from me for cleanliness, customer service, and public safety. Where's my refund? I have photos, and you never asked to see them.
