Quality Inn & Suites Hanes Mall

I spent a long stretch here in summer 2025, and everything was great. Tom was especially wonderful, so helpful, and all the staff were kind and supportive. Thanks so much to everyone for the hospitality. When I visit the United States again, I'd definitely like to stay here. Greetings from Turkey 🇹🇷

The room felt cold and depressing. It had cheap-looking gray stick furniture on a gray floor, a faded gray bedspread, beige walls, and just one piece of art in the bathroom beside a mirror. I've stayed in nicer-looking dorms and youth hostels. I guess this is what they call a “Standard” Room. They could draw a giant sad face on the wall and it would fit. The bed was comfortable enough, if you aren't too worried about how clean it is. I went down to see the free breakfast 45 minutes after it opened. There were a few stale bagels, individually wrapped slices of white bread, some fruit, one or two dry cereal choices, and a waffle maker. It was all starch and sugar, with no protein. They could at least spend a little on some hot powdered eggs. This was my second stay at a Quality Inn, and I should've learned after the first one, which was just as bad. I'd stay elsewhere if my budget weren't limited, but it's furniture market opening time in North Carolina and every place is packed.

Tom made sure we enjoyed our stay, and we did. My boyfriend and I were here recently and are planning to come back this weekend. The room was pleasant, the bed comfy, and the bathroom clean, with shampoo and conditioner in the shower and a bar of soap. The shower temperature was just right, the mini fridge was clean with room for drinks, and the AC and heater worked well. Breakfast was good too, with waffles, oatmeal, bread, bagels, juices, and best of all, coffee. The only snag was that the Wi-Fi was a little hard to connect to. I can't wait to stay here again. No guest should have to bounce between rooms trying to find a decent one. That's unacceptable, and the manager is responsible for it. The price suits a budget traveler, but that shouldn't mean being surprised with a dive. Based on the reviews, the place needs quality control, and apologies with candid answers aren't enough. One star for at least responding to customers' concerns. With ratings this low, I can't book here.
