Safari Inn

The room was clean and the beds were pretty comfortable. I also liked having food options within walking distance. Check-in was easy, and the guy at the front desk was really friendly. He asked whether we wanted a first- or second-floor room.

The website wouldn’t work when I tried to book a night, so I called. He tried to get through the booking without telling me the price. When I asked and found it was different, I asked why, and apparently it was because of my 8-year-old child lol. I’ve never heard of a place charging extra for a kid to sleep in the same queen bed. Then he hung up on me. Wouldn’t recommend if you have kids lol.

Safari Inn is what I’d expect from an economical roadside motel. The room and bathroom were clean, the bed was comfortable, and the heater worked great. It was $60 a night, which seemed reasonable. The cash deposit was new to me, but I got it back. The room had towels, soap, shampoo, coffee, a 4-cup coffee maker, a microwave, TV, and fridge. The owner was very professional and helped me after I locked my key in the room. I’ll definitely stay here again. You should too.

The owner called within 30 minutes of checkout to say I’d left my tablet behind, then agreed to ship it back. I’ll definitely stay at Safari Inn again. I like old roadside motels, and this was just what I expect from an $80-a-night economical place. The room and bathroom were clean, the bed was comfortable, and the ice was frozen. Some of these reviews have me amazed at what people expect.
