Chewuch Inn and Cabins

On our three-week road trip through the Northwest of the USA, we stayed in a beautifully decorated King Cabin and loved it. It was set up so well for cooking that we didn’t find anything missing, and the hot tub was wonderful after days out exploring nature. Breakfast was a highlight too, especially those heavenly apple cinnamon scones. If you ever share the recipe, please let me know! The thoughtful little details made the cabin feel like home straight away. Wish we could’ve stayed longer, and I’d gladly recommend it.

The cabin’s hot tub was one of the main reasons I booked, but it wasn’t usable. The control panel didn’t work, the jets couldn’t be switched off, and the temperature never got above 95°. If I’d known it was out of service, I would have accepted the offer to move and receive a full refund. The “Kitchen” was also missing many basic items. On arrival, I walked into a cabin that already had another guest in it. That was a serious safety and privacy breach. It held me up for over two hours, derailed my evening plans, and could easily have turned into something worse. The other guest, who had also been put in the room I paid for, got a full refund right away. I was promised 50% but received only 15%, and didn’t argue in front of the other customers. I stood at the front desk for several minutes while two employees were disengaged, looking at their phones and not responding until I prompted them. In my opinion, their behavior pointed to drug use. I’ve repeatedly asked to speak with higher management and have been denied or ignored. Between the safety breach, unusable amenities, staff conduct, disruption, and inconsistent refund, I can’t recommend this place.

We had a great time here for our Hockey tournament. The place has a quaint feel, and the private hot tub was clean and worked perfectly. The woman who prepares breakfast each morning was very friendly and seemed to really care about the customers. I’d love to come back.

We stayed two nights in cabin 13 and won’t be coming back. Ants were in the bathtub when we checked in, with more in the bowls and kitchen sink. The hot tub was only warm, not properly hot, and the water level was low. It started at 93 degrees and had dropped to 88 by the time we left. We texted the front desk right away, but didn’t hear back for three hours. They said someone would look at it the next day. The motor surged all night and kept us awake. We were out most of the day, but snow on the ground showed no new footprints, so it didn’t look like anyone had checked. We called the front desk, and we started hauling bowls of water from the cabin to fill the tub in hopes of stopping the surging motor. The hot water tank didn’t work properly either.
