My Place Hotel - Wixom/Novi/Detroit, MI

On 8/13/25, after the hotel I'd reserved didn't have my room when we arrived, I was scrambling to find somewhere for me, my mom, and our fur baby. We were three hours from home for my mom's cancer treatments, and I was stressed and unsure what to do. One call to My Place Hotel in Wixom put me at ease. Aqua was so kind and quickly arranged a six-week stay for us. The room was just right: clean, spacious, and stocked with what we needed, including a full-size fridge, freezer, and ice maker. The outdoor pavilion and grill were a lovely extra. The housekeeping team was kind and helpful and kept everything fresh and clean. Jessica, the manager, was top-notch, and Aneta was caring and kind. Most of the front desk staff soon knew our family and asked how my mom was doing. That small kindness meant so much through a difficult time. I met some wonderful people during our stay, which made this part of my mom's cancer journey easier. My Place Hotel in Wixom gave us comfort, kindness, and a sense of community along with a room. I'm so grateful to the staff for everything. Highly recommend!

For our 10/2/25 trip to Ann Arbor, we booked this place at the last minute to avoid paying an exorbitant rate. It was a good deal for one night, though a bit out of the way. The room felt like a studio apartment, with a fridge, microwave, and two-burner stove, and grocery stores, restaurants, and shops were nearby. It was clean and cozy. Staff were friendly during the little interaction I had. If you're a woman traveling alone, I'd suggest avoiding the first floor. The window lock didn't feel secure enough to me, though my husband was with me.

Evette is a bright spot here, so friendly, professional, and kind. Her smile and personality suit the place perfectly. The property is beautiful, quiet, well maintained, and extremely clean, with staff who are amazing. The rooms are affordable, laid out nicely, and just the right size. Mine was spotless, with a nice-sized fridge and ice maker, small cooktop, microwave, toaster, and coffee maker. The bathroom was immaculate and stocked with towels, toilet paper, soap, shower products, and a hair dryer. There was a useful closet area with plenty of hangers, a luggage stand, ironing board, and iron. The laundry room was clean and had plenty of machines. Outside, the dining and patio area was nicely lit and well placed. The heating and cooling unit was quiet. There are plenty of dining, shopping, and adventure options nearby. They sell various items in the lobby at reasonable prices, but the free coffee is delicious! We're already planning our next couple of stays.

We've stayed twice now, and it was just as good this time. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the recliner was a nice touch. The rate was very reasonable, about half what comparable hotels charge.
