Hampton Inn Boston Woburn

For this area, I thought the stay was worth the price. The room was spacious and clean, without a lot of extra furniture, and the king bed and pillows were very comfortable. The AC worked perfectly and gave me plenty of control over the temperature. The lobby and dining space look modern and clean, and the elevators, pool, and gym all seemed well kept and equipped. One thing I couldn't figure out was the bill. Booking confirmed $219.91, listed as $196.88 plus $23.04 tax, though I realize those add up to $219.92. The hotel charged $281.57, made up of $252.08 plus $14.37 state tax and $15.12 local tax. I'm not sure why the amounts were so different.

They took me in at the last minute and turned a rough day into a much nicer evening. The room was comfortable and pleasant, and the front desk staff were understanding and so kind. Beautiful hotel, and I had a lovely stay.

For three days, we reported that plugging in the hairdryer in the bathroom tripped the fuse and shut off the lights. One light stayed out until engineering came to fix it, and the problem was never resolved during our stay. No one offered us another room. We also emailed both hotel managers, Troy and Rebeca, and got no reply. It's frustrating when guests reach out and aren't answered. Maybe this is a good hotel if everything works and you don't need help.

The breakfast was one of the nicest I've had at a hotel, with lots and lots of choices. The place also felt unusually open when you walked in, not like a typical suburban chain. Everything looked bright and modern, and it was one of the cleanest hotels I've stayed in.
