I travel between East Coast cities for work and needed a few nights somewhere. Kirsten made the stay stand out. I called before booking to ask about early check-in, and even though I hadn’t booked yet, she explained everything clearly. When I arrived two days later, she remembered our call and got me checked in quickly. She was attentive and has a great memory. Her customer service really made the experience. The room was very clean, everything went smoothly, and the location was great. I’ll definitely come back next time I’m in town for work.

We hadn’t planned our trip, and Kirsten, Horace, and Aaron were amazing. Breakfast was just as described, and so was the room for the price. I was struck by how observant and thoughtful they were, and saw their kindness, compassion, and patience with other guests. Tonya, Cassandra, and Barbara deserve a mention too. This really felt like teamwork, and they’re wonderful ambassadors for Fairfield Marriot.

Breakfast was okay, with limited choices but enough. The room didn’t seem thoroughly cleaned, and noise came through the windows from the hotel’s industrial surroundings. Inside, the air conditioner was so loud all night that it was hard to sleep, and the pillows were extremely firm and uncomfortable. We expected this Marriott property to be a good choice, but the stay was disappointing, and based on our experience I wouldn’t recommend it.

The rooms and bathrooms are old and poorly maintained. Staff were rude, especially the pantry workers serving breakfast. They stopped refilling the food and turned off the dining area lights 30 minutes and 10 minutes before closing.

We were ready to head into the city and figured someone could let us into the room when we got back. The door wouldn’t open. The front desk said not to hold the card with the phone or credit card, so they activated it, but it still didn’t work when we tried again. I went back, and the staff member brought some kind of charger that finally opened it. She offered to move us to another room, but by then we were about to leave.
