SpringHill Suites by Marriott Woodbridge

The room has a desk, which is handy for keeping up with my business emails while I’m away, along with a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. There’s lots of space and it’s well appointed. The agent at check-in was very nice, and the continental breakfast had a decent variety, which was a great perk. My kiddos are enjoying their stay. Looks like we’ve found a home base for visits with family.

Breakfast was good, and the staff were welcoming and friendly. The hotel felt clean and modern, with a well-designed layout, and the busy road nearby didn’t make the noise too disruptive. The area felt safe, too. I’d asked for specific accommodations, but they weren’t followed. I couldn’t tell whether they weren’t available or had simply been forgotten. We made it work.

The rooms are well appointed, the staff are nice, and breakfast is good. The place itself is fine, but getting to nearby restaurants by car is a hassle because the traffic pattern is really weird, even though they’re close. The worst part was the event venue next door. If your room is near the road, expect music on Friday and Saturday nights, along with bright lights from the outdoor area. See photo.

Breakfast was disappointing too. They served tomato sauce instead of salsa with the breakfast items, and it felt like a cheap, poorly planned substitute. The bedding had yellow stains, which was disgusting and immediately made me question the hotel’s cleanliness standards. I don’t expect that from a Marriott property. Between the stained sheets and subpar breakfast, this was a very disappointing stay and not what I expect from a Marriott hotel.
