Motel 6 Woodland, CA – Sacramento Airport

The noise was a real problem here. The motel is beside a freeway offramp, so traffic could be heard all night, and the walls seem to have no insulation. We also heard a dog barking for most of the evening, music playing outside several rooms, and someone using a barbecue outside one room. There was dog poop right in front of the property, too. The pool shown prominently in the promotional picture has been filled in. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

The room was dirty, the heater and AC didn’t work, there was no hot water, and only one light worked. The area was very loud, right next to a busy street, and felt like a very bad part of town. It seemed like a place for people dealing with addiction and homelessness. The woman at the desk wasn’t rude, but she wasn’t particularly helpful either. She seemed more interested in getting back to games on her phone. I’d never stay there again.

We had an AC problem, and the woman at check-in moved us to another room right away. The rooms were clean, the water pressure was great, and the price was reasonable. The location just off I5 worked perfectly for us, with several restaurants an easy walk away. There wasn’t a pool, but we really appreciated the fenced dog area. This was the nicest Motel 6 we’ve stayed at, and we’d definitely return.

The room felt old and beat up, and one of the two lights didn’t work. It was cold because the heat was out. The receptionist came by but couldn’t get it working. We could hear noisy neighbors through a door where there should have been a plain wall.
