Homewood Suites By Hilton Worcester

I’ve been here three weeks while my apartment is being worked on, and it’s been quite an adventure. I first left a good review, then changed it after a rough stretch. After 16 good days, a guest was put in the room above me and kept being inconsiderate and obnoxious. The hotel did what it could, and moved me when I asked, but I was exhausted and miserable when I wrote an unkind review. Things improved after the move. I’ve realized staff need remarkable people skills for this job, including when dealing with people like me. My room is huge, and I think it’s worth the price even at the full rate. It’s clean, the included breakfast is very good, and the views I’ve had are lovely. The neighborhood is near public transportation and doesn’t feel unsafe to me. At night, as anywhere, I just use common sense if I go out. Staff are attentive and easy to reach in person, by phone, or through the app chat. I’m very sensitive and have allergies, and after the hallway powder products gave me a migraine, staff stopped using them. I really appreciated that. I keep the do not disturb sign up and call when I want housekeeping. I leave a note about what I do and don’t want done, plus $10, and she did a great job without touching any of my personal things. Jacob, Shay (Shea?) and Thea are the friendliest staff I’ve dealt with. I’m sure everyone else is nice too, but those three are the ones I usually see when I need something. Thanks for everything.

The location worked out so well, central to everything but just far enough away that it wasn’t loud or hectic. Check-in with the digital key was incredibly convenient, and the room was clean, orderly, and just right for what we needed. Breakfast was complimentary and really impressed me. The way it was set up felt so homey that everyone I showed pictures to thought it was somebody’s kitchen. The property is beautiful and well kept. We’ll definitely stay again, and I appreciate all the staff’s hard work.

We’re in Worcester often to visit our child at college, and this is always our first choice. It hasn’t let us down. The staff are helpful and friendly, the rooms are clean and well equipped, and the location makes it easy to get around the city.

The free surface parking was useful, and during declared snow emergencies the city policy allows optional free covered parking in Worcester Commons Garage. The price is affordable, and it’s hard to imagine finding a better deal nearby. Suites are new and nicely arranged, with separate sleeping and eating areas, two flat-screen TVs, a comfortable bed, and a pullout sofa. The kitchenette has a large fridge with freezer and a dishwasher. On the ground floor there’s reception, breakfast space, a business center, ATM, laundry room, and swimming pool. It seems especially well suited to families with young kids, though plenty of other visitors to Worcester would fit too.
